Reports cited authorities' investigation and said the woman surnamed Tang first sneaked into Hong Kong last November to seek jobs.
Yet, she failed to get a job and decided to sneak back into Zhuhai on February 10, and then her hometown in Kweilin City in Guangxi on February 19.
After capturing her, local authorities then requested her to undergo a 21-day concentrated medical observation, where she has to undergo 11 Covid tests, and then another seven-day home quarantine and two more tests.
As she tested negative for 13 times during quarantine, local authorities then sentenced her to five-day administrative detention on Sunday.
