Ocean Park appoints Ivan Wong Chi-fai as new CEO starting September

Ocean Park Corp appointed former managing director of now defunct UA Cinema Circuit Ltd Ivan Wong Chi-fai as the new chief executive of the Park, and he will take office on September 1.

Ivan Wong will take office as chief executive designate on August 16 first to start the leadership transition with the current CEO Joe Wong Chi-cho. 

Ocean Park Corp said Ivan Wong is a customer-focused and innovative business leader with business re-engineering, marketing and digital expertise across the entertainment, telecommunication and media sectors. 

Lau Ming-wai, chair of the corp, said he is excited to have Ivan Wong in the management team, and added his mindset and business experience from product development to business re-engineering make him well suited for the role. 

Lau also said Ivan Wong will work closely with him and the board to lead the transformation of the Park under the new strategy.  

He thanked Joe Wong for his service during the Park's transition period as well. 

Ivan Wong is a graduate of the Trinity College of University of Toronto, and has received executive training from INSEAD and Harvard Business School. 

He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom and the Chairperson of Hong Kong Institute of Marketing.
