New People's Party lawmaker Eunice Yung Hoi-yan says she is "definitely better than Dominic Lee Tsz-king" after dropping out of her party's primaries. "I am definitely better than Lee. I am loyal and could stand firm on certain matters," she said yesterday.
Yung withdrew from the primaries selecting candidates to stand in this September's Legislative Council election, saying her party showed favoritism to Dominic Lee, who left the Liberal Party to join the New People's primaries.

Yung also showed skepticism to how Lee changed his political stance - he used to be a self-proclaimed liberal in the pro-establishment camp, but suddenly turned into a government supporter. "If the New People's Party is going to back a die-hard pro-establishment candidate in the upcoming Legco election, I would rather choose Junius Ho Kwan-yiu. He has a better chance of winning," Yung added.
