A bus yesterday crashed into the Stanley post office - Hong Kong’s oldest post office still in service, after knocking down a motorbike driver at the intersection of Tung Tau Wan Road and Stanley Village Road.

The Citybus was said to have crashed into the Grade II historic building at around 6pm yesterday.
The motorbike driver was injured after being knocked down, with the bus driver also feeling unwell after the accident. Both were brought to the hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the wooden roof structure of the post office was damaged with visible cracks.
Stanley Post Office, which has been in operation since 1937, is the oldest post office still in service. It is in its original building situated at 2 Wong Ma Kok Road. Refurbishment works were carried out in 2007 to restore Stanley Post Office to its original condition.
In December 2009, the post office was graded as a Grade II historic building by the Antiquities and Monuments Office.
