A woman, aged about 30 years, has been forcefully taken away in a car by four men at the junction of Playing Field Road and Sai Yee Street in Mong Kok at midnight, before being released later.
She had been on her way to meet with her friends in the area.
A witness, who is a journalist, happened to be nearby and filmed the moment when she is forced into the car, while she struggles on the floor, yelling for help. Witnesses say two of the men did not get into the car and instead left the scene by taxi.
She filed a report at the Mong Kok police station after being released.
She told a reporter that she was unharmed. She said the gang had claimed that she owed them HK$100,000 “I feel my life is threatened, not knowing what will they do to me,” she said.
