Andrew Leung says shared only personal views with top Beijing official

Legislative Council president Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen said he only shared his personal views on the national security law draft in his private meeting on Sunday with Xia Baolong, the director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office.

He says it was a personal invitation.

Leung says he has not expressed views on behalf of lawmakers, nor did he reflect  opinions of members of various parties.
