Macau first quarter fiscal revenue shrinks

Macau's first-quarter fiscal revenue slumped by 39.07 percent from a year ago to 20.71 billion patacas (HK$18.37 billion).

Revenue from the gambling industry fell by 37.65 percent year-on-year to 18.48 billion patacas.

Macau government expenditure grew by 30.11 percent over a year earlier to 15.98 billion patacas while the fiscal surplus shrank by 77.73 percent on-year to  4.73 billion patacas.
