Nearly 60 virus patients recover

The Hospital Authority said today one more coronavirus patient, a 48-year-old man, has been discharged from hospital, bringing the total to 59.

Three people have died from the virus, including a 76-year-old woman yesterday, who had diabetes and high blood pressure, said chief manager of Quality and Standards, Dr Lau Ka-hin.

Among the 53 virus patients in nine public hospitals, one is critical, two are serious while the rest are stable. In the past 24 hours, 40 new suspected cases have been reported.
