Dolce & Gabbana's K & Q Eaux de Parfum Intense, two new fragrances that reinterpret the original K & Q, are just what you'd expect of a fashion house known for its opulent, almost regal, designs.
As K and Q stand for king and queen (both bottles are topped with crowns), the new scents are obviously targeted at strong, self-confident wearers.
Daphne Bugey is the brainchild behind Q and K, the latter created together with Nathalie Lorson.
Q (from HKD 770) maintains the lemony top notes of its original counterpart, enhanced by orange and jasmine. "In the new Q, cherry continues to be the common thread, but turns into a delicious dark cherry, mixing with the feminine side of heliotrope, giving the fragrance a material texture," said Bugey. "Contrasting with the brighter base of the original, the sensual ambery accord accentuates the seductive energy of this new version."
As with the women's scent, K (HK$815) also takes on the citrusy top notes of the original. "The heart of the new fragrance is characterized by creamy notes of fig, embellished by the warm and spicy facets of saffron and enhanced by the unforgettably elegant woody base, built on deep and sensual tones of a leathery accord," said Bugey.
