He and Mickey travel the world sharing adventures and making friends.
Being the first character not to have his own movie means that he does not have a fanbase like Frozen's Elsa and Anna or Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear and Woody.
But this does not imply that he, and his friends, are any less popular. Since the first Duffy the Disney Bear plush toy appeared at Walt Disney World Florida in 2002, the line has gained fans at Disney parks in Asia.
And a look at the crowd for Hong Kong Disneyland's welcome party for his new friend, LinaBell, will show you just how adored the Duffy and Friends franchise is.
LinaBell is a pale pink fox with a curious streak. She can always be found with a magnifying glass and solving mysteries with her friends.
The story goes that she met Duffy by helping him find his way back to Mickey after he got lost in the forest while following a butterfly.
To celebrate her arrival, Hong Kong Disneyland has brought out a series of activities revolving around the curious fox.
The park's senior vice president of operations, Tim Sypko, said: "With the arrival of LinaBell, a new fans-tasy chapter begins for everyone in Hong Kong. Get ready to dive into the immersive Duffy Fans-tasy with a wide range of offerings across the resort, from entertainment, merchandise, food and beverage to hotel staycations.
"There's no better place for the fans of Duffy and Friends to gather than at Hong Kong Disneyland."
Not only can visitors meet LinaBell by booking a standby pass online or through the Disneyland app, they can also take a photo with a large statue of her at the photo backdrop at Marty's General Store and Photograph on Main Street USA.
The ultimate fan experience is the LinaBell Photo Pass Bundle (HK$999). Included in the bundle are a LinaBell plush, unlimited photo downloads from your meet and greet with the character, as well as an additional 6R photo print with a paper photo frame and an 8R photo print.
Apart from the plush, Disney is also releasing over 25 LinaBell items, available for purchase online and in the park itself.
If you get hungry during your day at the park, there are LinaBell-themed dishes on sale at restaurants and the bakery - from a full-on afternoon tea with three tiers of eye-catching delights to LinaBell waffles and LinaBell donuts.
And for the ultimate fan, perk up your stay at a Hong Kong Disneyland hotel with the LinaBell room decoration package (HK$1,615) - which includes the popular LinaBell Plush, blanket, floor mat, mug, pillowcase and popcorn bucket. It is available until December 31.
