Light a path to luck

Weary commuters had a lovely surprise when lanterns in a variety of sizes started popping up along the elevated walkway from IFC mall to the Central ferry piers. Accompanied by New Year greetings, the bright red lanterns turn a boring bridge into a festive path. They are at their best in the evenings.

On the other side of the harbor, another public pathway has also been decorated with lanterns. Using the theme of "Pawsperity for All," Harbour City has decorated the public pathway with 12 golden pillars support eight golden circles, from which 108 hanging lanterns are suspended. The custom-made lanterns are printed with red, orange, and purple tiger stripes and turn into windmills in the breeze to bring everyone good luck. They will be up until February 15.
