Public housing that's pretty as a picture

A photo contest is being held to celebrate the Hong Kong Housing Authority's 50th anniversary.

The public can submit beautiful photos of public rental housing estates under the HA under the themes of "public housing vistas" and "buildings and design aesthetics of public housing."

There are three submission categories - open (open to all permanent HK residents), resident (open to tenants currently residing in the rental flats of public rental housing units) and staff (open to staff of the Housing Bureau and Housing Department).

Estates under the Tenant Purchase Scheme, Home Ownership Scheme, Green Form Subsidized Home Ownership Scheme and housing under the Hong Kong Housing Society are not eligible for the contest.

Prizes will be awarded for each category, with winners receiving a certificate and shopping coupons. Champions will receive coupons worth HK$8,000.

The contest will run until August 6 and entries should be submitted to HA50PhotoContest.com.
