MTR Island Line service suspended from Sheung Wan to Quarry Bay

MTR Corporation announced that train services on the Island Line have been suspended between Sheung Wan Station and Quarry Bay Station due to an obstruction on the track.

The obstruction was detected near Wan Chai Station. Alternative service arrangements are in place:

*   Kennedy Town to Sheung Wan: every 10 minutes
*   Quarry Bay to Chai Wan: every 10 minutes
*   Service between Sheung Wan and Quarry Bay: suspended

The MTR is arranging free shuttle buses to help affected passengers, which will arrive shortly.

MTR staff are conducting emergency inspections and remedial work. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and consider using other transport alternatives.
