Launched and funded by the Trust in 2022, the initiative aims to cultivate a culture of volunteering and community care across Hong Kong.
Co-organized by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Agency for Volunteer Service, the event's opening was graced by prominent guests, including Janet Lee, wife of the Chief Executive and Volunteer-in-Chief; Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Clarence Leung; Jockey Club Steward Jackson Woo; and Agency Chairman Melissa Kaye Pang.
Jackson Woo underscored the club's enduring collaboration with the agency since the 1970s to foster a volunteering spirit.
In recent years, JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER has expanded support by advocating "Volunteer for Impact" and introducing specialized awards to recognize diverse sectors and ensure sustainable volunteer development.
The Club's CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team actively engages in community services, including support for the recently concluded 15th National Games, delivering care throughout Hong Kong.
Comprising dedicated staff, the team contributed over 25,000 volunteering hours in 2024 alone, reaching more than 740,000 beneficiaries.
At this year's awards, the club earned the Outstanding Corporate Award and the Top Ten Highest Volunteer Hour Award, reflecting its profound commitment.
The integrated JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER platform has attracted over 23,000 registered volunteers, accumulating nearly 270,000 service hours.
Since 2023, the Club has sponsored various categories, such as Outstanding Evergreen Volunteer, Outstanding Caring School, volunteer hour awards for evergreen and rising stars, and recognition for newcomers or returning volunteers.
