Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui reaffirmed on Tuesday the government's effort to foster young Hong Kong designers and help them gain international exposure.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the "Play, Pose & Pixel" Digital Fashion Exhibition, Law noted that among the seven designers featured in the virtual experience, three are emerging local talents.
Law said it showcases the vibrant creativity of Hong Kong's new generation of designers, adding, “This also reflects our commitment to nurturing local creators and elevating them onto the global stage.”
As part of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest, the digital fashion exhibition is a collaboration between the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and the Hong Kong Design Centre, curated by FabriX World.

Law said digital fashion has surged in popularity over the past decade and is now integrated across the entire fashion chain—from design to manufacturing and retail.
"It saves time and materials in sample production, enables business without physical products, and transcends geographic limits with virtual try-ons," she added.
Before arriving in Hong Kong, the exhibition was previously presented at Paris Fashion Week this past September. Some of the works exhibited were first shown in Paris, including collaborations between international designers and multidisciplinary artists.
The exhibition allows attendees to try on virtual looks through augmented reality, see how 4D scans convert the human body into data, and witness how designers are reimagining garments for both physical and digital worlds.
It will run until December 2 at the Gate33 Gallery on Level 3 of AIRSIDE, with complimentary entry to the public.
Additionally, Law mentioned that Hong Kong will see various fashion events over the next two weeks, while the Hong Kong Fashion Fest will run until December 7, offering a rich series of design experiences in multiple locations.
