Seven years of anticipation will finally break this November, as the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) is returning to Hong Kong, ready to channel “HEUNG”—the uniquely Korean spirit of pure joy and excitement—for the city's enthusiastic fans. The city has hosted MAMA more than any other location, having held the awards for seven consecutive years from 2012 to 2018.
The two-day ceremony is scheduled for November 28 and 29, aiming to spread boundless energy with its creative stages and distinctive productions at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
This year's celebration holds special meaning, coinciding with CJ ENM's music label Mnet's 30th anniversary and promising the largest gathering of K-pop fans in the awards' history.
The newly revealed logo tester video features a tiger motif and the slogan "UH-HEUNG," echoing a tiger's roar to symbolize Korea's strength and spirit.

Known for a dazzling lineup, many local fans took to social media to create a "wish list" of their favorite K-pop groups, expressing hopes to see artists like BIGBANG, Blackpink, IVE, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, aespa, and LE SSERAFIM participate in the event.
The city itself is no stranger to MAMA’s magic, having previously played host to iconic moments with celebrity presenters Chow Yun-fat and Andy Lau Tak-wah, and performances from Aaron Kwok Fu-shing and Eason Chan Yick-shun.
Originally launched in 1999, the awards have evolved into the MAMA AWARDS, which have been hosted globally to promote K-pop, spanning Asia and the United States.
