The pitch underwent testing using the Labosport ScorePlay™️ system by an international accredited FIFA testing agent, widely recognized as the world's foremost expert on sports surfaces. It achieved an impressive score of 90 percent, definitively meeting the highest standards required for top-level football competition.

Crucial to this performance is the choice of turf. Kai Tak utilizes Bermuda grass, specifically selected as the optimal solution for Hong Kong's demanding subtropical climate. 

Officials emphasized that Bermuda grass is significantly tougher and more durable than the Rye grass commonly used in European stadiums.
