The normally quiet Heung Wo Street in Tsuen Wan has become the center of ongoing tensions, days after a heated argument over a parking meter space went viral, with multiple police vehicles remaining stationed at the scene to monitor the situation.
The dispute erupted last Saturday evening when a 26-year-old driver surnamed Li attempted to park at a metered spot outside a car repair shop at 25 Heung Wo Street.
Footage circulating online shows a shirtless, tattooed employee from the shop aggressively confronting the driver, hurling profanities and threatening physical violence while being backed up by several colleagues.

In the viral video, the altercation escalates as the car shop employee claims exclusive rights to the public parking space, shouting: "This is a car repair shop!" and threatening the driver with: "I could beat the hell out of you!"
The driver remains calm but firm, countering: "Is this parking meter yours?" and "Does the car shop own this parking space too?"
Since the incident, police have maintained a visible presence in the area.
On Tuesday morning, three police vehicles were parked along the street as officers and traffic wardens issued parking tickets. The car shop in question remained open for business, though its owner, Wong, admitted the publicity had hurt her business.
"I just want this matter to be over soon," Wong told reporters, declining to comment further. The meter space outside her shop remained cordoned off, and the shirtless employee involved in the altercation was notably absent.
Authorities have classified the case as a dispute, with no injuries reported. The incident has also sparked broader discussions about public space usage.
