The upcoming "Chiikawa Days" exhibition sparked a ticket-buying frenzy on Saturday, with the first batch selling out immediately after going on sale. A free preview event in Tsim Sha Tsui also drew crowds of excited fans, many accompanied by parents.

A ten-year-old named Ashley, who managed to secure two tickets, expressed her adoration for Chiikawa's cute characters and mentioned she might be too excited to sleep before the August exhibition. She sleeps with Chiikawa plushies every night and imagines playing with the characters.
A forty-year-old fan, surnamed Lam, who was among the early ticket buyers, commented on how Chiikawa's stories about workplace struggles and emotional challenges are surprisingly relatable and differ from typical cartoons. He has already spent over HK$1,000 collecting a full set of eight dim sum-themed merchandise.
Another devotee, surnamed Mok, appreciated the organizers' fair ticketing system that prevents scalping, expressing hope that true fans, rather than resellers, get to enjoy the exhibition at original prices. He noted that the event offers stress relief for busy urbanites.
The exhibition's popularity reflects Chiikawa's unique appeal across age groups, blending adorable aesthetics with unexpectedly mature storytelling.
