Man United overcome early scare to beat HK 3-1 in friendly

Manchester United overcame an early scare to secure a 3-1 victory over the Hong Kong, China representative team in a lively friendly at Hong Kong Stadium on Friday night. Substitute Chido Obi starred with a second-half brace, helping the Red Devils complete their Asia tour on a winning note.

Despite dominating possession and chances, United found themselves trailing in the first half after Hong Kong forward Juninho capitalized on a swift counterattack, slotting past goalkeeper Tom Heaton in the 19th minute.

The Red Devils' starting lineup included captain Bruno Fernandes, midfielder Casemiro, and forwards Rasmus Holjund and Alejandro Garnacho. Every attacking move from United was met with loud cheers from the crowd, creating an electric atmosphere. 

The game turned after the break, with 17-year-old striker Chido Obi making an immediate impact off the bench. The youngster struck twice to put United ahead before defender Ayden Heaven sealed the win with a late third.

The match drew a passionate crowd, with Hong Kong fans chanting "We Are Hong Kong" while also urging their team to "save energy" ahead of their crucial Asian Cup qualifier against India on June 10.

The fixture marked United’s first visit to Hong Kong in 12 years, with hundreds of fans gathering hours before kickoff to welcome the Premier League giants. The Red Devils now return to Europe having completed their two-stop Asia tour with a win.
