Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau Tak-wah and his wife Carol Chu Lai-chien, known for keeping their marriage out of the spotlight, have recently drawn attention after a former private jet flight attendant shared her memorable experience with the couple on Xiaohongshu, a popular Chinese social media platform. The influencer’s account offered rare praise for Carol Chu’s warm personality.
According to the influencer, she served the couple on their private jet for two months.
During one flight, she recounted that Andy Lau was deeply absorbed in practicing a script when she tried to ask for his meal preference. Lau, however, was so focused that he did not notice her question.
It was Chu who stepped in, gently calling out to her husband, “Andy. Andy. She is asking you what you want to have.” Thanks to Chu’s intervention, Lau snapped out of his concentration and responded with a smile, "Anything is fine."
The influencer added a lighthearted detail, revealing that Chu playfully tapped Lau twice with a book after the incident.
The influencer also noted that not only she, but all of Andy Lau’s staff spoke highly of Chu. They described her as attentive to Lau and caring toward everyone in the company.
