Shein and Mech-Mind Robotics close lower in Hong Kong debut

China's Shein (0625) and Mech-Mind Robotics (9615) both closed lower in their Hong Kong debut on Tuesday.

Shares of Shein once slumped as much as 9.97 percent before closing 0.12 percent lower at HK$48.5. Compared with its offer price at HK$48.56, it delivered a paper loss of HK$6 per borad lot of 100 shares.

Mech-Mind Robotics fell 1.87 percent from its offer price of HK$101.7 at the close after slipping 4.62 percent at one point, translating to a paper loss of HK$57 per borad lot of 30 shares.

The fashion giant's retail tranche was oversubscribed by 4.63 times, while the international portion was oversubscribed by 1.59 times.

The robotic firm recorded 3,834.56 times oversubscription in the retail tranche, while its international offering saw 12.39 times oversubscription.
