Hong Kong stocks plunged below 25,000 points on Friday on renewed Middle East tensions.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index declined by 291 points, or 1.2 percent to 24,961 points at the close.
The market turnover rose to HK$342.8 billion.
The Hang Seng Tech Index also lost by 1.8 percent to 4,888 points.
In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was down by 0.7 percent to 4,027 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index dipped by 2.2 percent to 15,314 points.
