Wall St falls at open with eyes on Nvidia earnings, data

Wall Street's main indexes fell at the open on Monday, heading into a packed week that includes AI bellwether Nvidia's results and the resumption of government data releases.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 79.4 points, or 0.17 percent, at the open to 47068.06. The S&P 500 fell 20.5 points, or 0.30 percent, at the open to 6713.61, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 112.3 points, or 0.49 percent, to 22788.316 at the opening bell.
