Hong Kong stocks jumped above 25,000 levels on Wednesday

Hong Kong stocks jumped above the 25,000 levels on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump again urged the US Federal Reserve to cut rates.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 1.3 percent to 25,294 as of 10.30, after opening 206 points or 0.83 percent higher at the opening.

The tech gauge rose 1.36 percent to 5,513.

Alibaba (9988) climbed 3 percent, and Tencent (0700) gained 2.6 percent.

Tencent Music Entertainment (1698) jumped 16 percent after it surpassed second-quarter revenue expectations.
