AgBank quarterly income rises to 64b yuan

The Agricultural Bank of China, one of China's biggest commercial lenders, reported steady profit growth in the first quarter this year, Xinhua reports.

The bank raked in 64.19 billion yuan in net profits, up by 4.79 percent year on year, according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Revenue grew  by 7.67 percent year on year to  186.92 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, the non-performing loan ratio at 1.4 percent remained at the same level as at the end of last year.
