Embark on an aesthetic journey through the cityscape at Art Macao
“Hey, what brings you here?” is the theme of Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025. This three-month art event features 30 exhibitions across the city, showcasing modern masterpieces by artists from more than 10 countries and regions. Artists, including contemporary masters Xu Bing, Ann Hamilton and Gregor Schneider, craft innovative narratives, revitalize historical spaces and explore the community in six exciting sections.

Marvel at the magnificent fireworks at the 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest
Starting from 9 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. on 6, 13, 20 September and 1, 6 October, enjoy the night sky aglow against the backdrop of the Macau Tower accompanied by “wows” from spectators.
An internationally acclaimed event, the fireworks display contest will present creativity at its peak from 10 countries around the world, including Australia, South Africa, Korea, Austria, the Philippines, Japan, China, Portugal, the United Kingdom and first-time participant Brazil, each spanning around 18 minutes.
Elevating the visual feast is a Fireworks Carnival held next to the waterfront of Macao Science Center from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on each fireworks display night, bringing together delicacies, music, dance performances and games.
Furthermore, a photo contest, a student drawing contest and an AI Generative Art Contest add colours to the festivities. Don’t forget to check out the best viewing locations!

Encounter art around every corner at the 23rd Macao City Fringe Festival
From 5-28 September, the entire city of Macao transforms itself into a stage and welcomes your participation. Walk through history connected with the People’s Republic of China
Get to know more about the period leading up to the founding of the People’s Republic of China in this walking tour that takes you through the Northern District of Macao. Highlights include related historical sites such as the Xian Xinghai Memorial Museum and the Lin Zexu Memorial Museum.
