Cheung, who received the “Asian Artist Recommendation of the Year” award, joked after winning that he hoped fans would “keep recommending me.”
It marked Cheung’s third time performing at the main stadium, where he performed six songs in front of a packed audience. With the lineup dominated by South Korean acts, Cheung brought Hong Kong music to an international stage.
As one of Hong Kong’s hottest singers, Cheung will take his “E=MC² Live 2026” to Malaysia on Nov 21, following five highly acclaimed shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum in July.
The ceremony at Kai Tak Stadium featured performances by some of Asia’s biggest music acts, including aespa, BABYMONSTER and Super Junior.
aespa was among the night’s biggest winners, taking home six awards. The group also performed “LEMONADE,” “Supernova” and “Can't help myself,” while BABYMONSTER performed six songs including “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA” and “MOON.”
Super Junior, which received the “Most Influential Overseas Group” award, closed the show. Members Eunhyuk and Siwon greeted the Hong Kong audience in Cantonese, while Siwon said he had missed the city so much that he could not sleep.
Despite a large number of fans leaving before their performance, Super Junior quickly brought the atmosphere to a high with songs including “Wonder Boy” and “Sorry, Sorry”. Donghae shed his jacket as the performance heated up, while other members came down from the stage to interact with fans, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The group also said they missed Hong Kong, describing the city as a place filled with memories and thanking local fans for their continued support.
