Since opening its doors in 2017, Stamford American School Hong Kong has been a pioneer in education, constantly evolving with global trends and using progressive resources to support each student’s growth. This fall, the school celebrates a significant milestone with the launch of its new West Kowloon campus alongside ongoing curriculum innovations like the Cornerstones program. With a focus on personalized graduation pathways and future-ready learning, Stamford is committed to helping students discover their passions and thrive in a fast-changing world.
New West Kowloon Campus: Commitment to Future-Focused Education
In its ninth year, Stamford’s Head of School, Andrew Noakes, proudly unveils the new high school campus in West Kowloon’s vibrant Olympic district. Built for senior students and dedicated to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), the campus features state-of-the-art facilities that complement Stamford’s seamless Pre-primary to Grade 12 education.
Designed to rethink traditional classrooms, the West Kowloon campus offers flexible learning spaces, modern science labs, arts and performance studios, and advanced design technology workshops. These facilities inspire students to collaborate across disciplines, build creative confidence, and sharpen leadership and problem-solving skills from an early age.
“Our West Kowloon campus is more than growth—it embodies our commitment to future-focused education,” Andrew Noakes said. “Together with our Ho Man Tin campus serving Pre-primary to Grade 8, we nurture confident, globally-minded lifelong learners.”
Personalized Pathways: Where Passions Take Flight
At Stamford, learning is tailored to each student. The STEMinn program, starting from age five, fosters innovation by integrating STEM and creative disciplines into daily life. Students test ideas across subjects and present their learning creatively. For example, Trevor, Class of 2025, found his passion for engineering through coding a drone project in Grade 10. He will pursue mechanical engineering at HKUST, turning his school interests into a career.
High school students also benefit from broad subject choices and real-world experiences through the Cornerstones program (Grades 9-10). This initiative helps students explore careers and build skills. Merrick from the Class of 2024 credits Cornerstones for launching his journey into architecture, now studying the field in Australia.
Students are empowered to shape their future at Stamford, backed by a community that values ambition, diversity, and excellence. As the school enters its next chapter, its dedication to unlocking every learner’s full potential remains as strong as ever. Admissions for the 2026-27 academic year are now open. Apply now to be the next future leader.
