The 38-year-old man, Ren, was arrested for making a false accusation after his story unraveled during questioning by Macau police.
Payment dispute leads to false report
The incident began on the evening of May 5 when Ren was approached by two individuals in women’s clothing near Avenida de João IV.
The party agreed on a 1,000 Macanese pataca fee for "massage and sexual services" at a nearby hotel. However, after the encounter, the duo demanded 2,000 patacas instead, claiming the original price was 1,000 patacas for each of them.
Ren paid the full amount but later filed a police report claiming to have been robbed, returning to the hotel to accuse the pair of theft.
Upon investigation, police discovered the alleged "women" were actually biological men - a fact not known by Ren even after their encounter.
The two Southeast Asian nationals, who entered Macau on travel permits, are currently under investigation for potential illegal work violations. Ren, meanwhile, faces charges of making false accusations.
