Pink parrot reunites with owner after missing for 8 months

A pink parrot was joyfully reunited with her owner in Kowloon Tong with the aid of the fire department today, after going missing for eight months.

Tao Tao's owner, surnamed Lam, has been searching for her missing parrot before spotting it under an air conditioner at an apartment unit in Prince Edward two days ago. 

She notified the fire department for help and was just a centimeter away from catching Tao Tao. Yet, a sudden loud noise startled the bird, causing Tao Tao to fly away. 

Sleepless and determined to find Tao Tao, Lam searched high and low for the parrot near Prince Edward and finally spotted her this morning near Oxford Road. 

Lam said Tao Tao hid on a platform at the Shine Skills Center around 10am and called the fire department immediately. With the assistance from the firefighters, Lam was secured with a safety belt and able to catch Tao Tao herself. 

Upon reuniting with her beloved parrot, Lam beamed with joy and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for those who aided with the rescue over the past months.
