Speaking at a China Mobile launch event, Sun revealed that the “iAM Smart” mobile application, a one-stop personalized digital service platform, has over 3.3 million registered users since its launch in 2020.
The tech chief viewed “iAM Smart”, which gives users a single digital identity to access various public and commercial online services, as an important measure in advancing a digital government, upgrading and transforming the city’s economy.
Sun said a similar service for enterprises, the Digital Corporate Identity (CorpID) Platform, will be launched by the end of next year.
The platform aims to facilitate enterprises using electronic government services or conducting online business transactions in a secure, convenient and efficient manner, Sun added.
According to the government, the CorpID platform provides various functions such as corporate identity authentication, digital signing, pre-filling of forms and storage of digital licenses and permits.
Meanwhile, various mainland enterprises attended a GBA innovation forum in Hong Kong, with facial recognition software developer CloudWalk Technology saying it aims to expand overseas markets via Hong Kong.
Co-founder Liu Jun said the company opted for Hong Kong because of its advantages in talent, international influence, innovation policies and scientific resources.
Vice president of autonomous vehicle technology company Pony.ai Mo Luyi also hopes Hong Kong and Macau could join a recognition agreement of autonomous vehicles in the future, while voice recognition software company iFlytek believes its technology could assist government and Legislative Council works.
