The park revealed on Monday night that the right eyelid of the almost seven-month-old “Elder Sister” had turned red after a playful scrap with her twin brother, “Younger Brother”.
“Rest assured, the caretakers have been closely monitoring her condition. After a thorough examination, it was discovered that her eyelid was injured, likely due to the siblings playing a bit too energetically,” the park said.
In a video, Ocean Park noted that the injury had healed well and vets no longer have to administer eye drops to “Elder Sister”.
However, the video noted that her third eyelid flap – a structure that supports a weakened cornea and protects the eye surface - remained visible. Yet the park confirmed that the injury would not affect her eyesight.
