Police are investigating suspected criminal damage after a columbarium niche was found damaged in Fanling on Tuesday.

Police received a report around 1.30pm on Tuesday, regarding the vandalism of the columbarium niche at Wun Chuen Sin Koon.
Upon arrival, the police classified the incident as criminal damage, and looked into the motive behind the vandalism.
Reports indicated that a companion niche belonging to the Chan family was destroyed, with scattered fragments strewn about.
Following a review of surveillance footage, staff spotted a man with black trousers and a black mask committing the act with a hammer around 1pm on February 13.
The authorities have yet to reach the deceased's family, leaving the motives of the crime unknown.
