Last Friday, a 57-year-old Civil Aid Service member, Leung, fell unconscious after completing a fitness assessment at the CAS headquarters in Yau Ma Tei and later died in hospital. The department expressed deep sorrow over Leung’s death.
When visiting the public mortuary this morning to claim Leung’s body, the sister said her brother mainly served in the Civil Aid Service and occasionally took on other freelance jobs.
According to her knowledge, he underwent the physical fitness tests once every year, and he did not have any underlying health issues.
She added that further investigation is required to understand the actual situation.
