Elderly man hospitalized after falling down slope in Fanling

An elderly man was hospitalized after falling down a slope in Fanling on Sunday morning.

At 9.24am today, a man in his sixties fell down a 5-meter-deep slope while hiking on Wu Tip Shan Road in Fanling, rendering him unconscious. 

The incident occurred near the Fung Ying Seen Koon, and passersby who discovered him promptly called the police. 

Rescue workers responded to the scene, and the Government Flying Service dispatched a helicopter to assist. 

The victim was subsequently transported to North District Hospital for treatment. 

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
