A cold front is anticipated to move across the coastal area of Guangdong on Sunday, and the Observatory said the cold weather will pay an early New Year's call with temperatures dropping to 11 degrees next Monday.

Under the influence of the easterly airstream, mild weather is predicted for the next two days with temperatures ranging between 18 to 21 degrees.
However, the associated winter monsoon from the cold front will bring cold and dry weather to the city in the middle and late of next week.
According to a nine-day weather forecast, the minimum temperature in urban areas on next Monday (Jan 27) and the Lunar New Year's Eve (Jan 28) will be 11 degrees and 12 degrees, respectively.
A cool morning is expected on Lunar New Year's Day, followed by cloudy weather with one or two small rain spots and a low temperature of 14 to 15 degrees during the next few days.
