Tuen Mun North West Swimming Pool temporarily closed after faeces spotted in water

Tuen Mun North West Swimming Pool has been temporarily closed for cleaning and disinfection after feces were spotted in the pool on Sunday.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said swimmers were cleared from the affected pool, which has been closed for water superchlorination to disinfect it.

The pool will reopen at around 5.10 pm today after the free residual chlorine level returns to normal. 

LCSD appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep the pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
