The weather watchdog said there will be flooding in some low-lying and poorly drained areas, and heavy rain may bring about flash floods.
The Observatory also reminded the public that the Thunderstorm Warning issued this morning has been extended until 2.30 pm today, as a few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over the city.
It added that people should listen to the radio or watch television for traffic conditions and further announcements on the rainstorm.
