Around 6 am today, the glass door of a cryptocurrency shop located at Mong Kok Sai Yeung Choi Street South was destroyed, alerting the owner.
The owner stayed hidden and surveyed the situation inside the store, discovering that someone had broken in before contacting the police.
By the time police arrived, the burglar had already left the scene.
The 31-year-old store owner, surnamed Chan, recounted and confirmed that there were no losses.
The case is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made so far.
After preliminary investigations, it is believed that the burglar turned off the electricity meter outside the shop before breaking in, turning off the security cameras, which made it difficult to capture footage of the crime.
