This is the first weekend since government shut down all beaches on Thursday.
Officers headed to the beaches in To Tau Wan Village, Cheung Kang Village and the one in Wu Kai Sha this morning, where crowds were found sitting by the trees only.
They also handed out flyers to citizens and reminded them to comply with the Covid-19 curbs, including the gathering ban capped at two people, observing a 1.5-meter social distancing and the mask wearing requirement.
The arrangement came as earlier large crowds were spotted having fun at beaches throughout the city despite the surging infection numbers reported.
Worrying such scenes will lead to more infections and put weight on the healthcare system, government decided to close all beaches starting Thursday.
