(Video) Woman wipes spit on MTR train

An MTR train passenger has been filmed tugging off her face mask and then wiping her mucus on the train door on Friday morning.

The incident at Kowloon Tong station had disrupted train service on the East Rail Line at around 7am this morning after the act was brought to the attention of staff.

The video of the woman, who is seen planted squarely in the train doors’ path, shows her wiping her mucus on the train doors before spitting on it.

Other passengers were required to disembark as staffers tried to ask the woman to leave.

One passenger can be heard criticizing the woman as he walked past by, accusing her of making a scene during the morning rush hour. However, the woman seemed unfazed by the criticism as she continued her actions.

The footage did not capture how the incident ended.

Meanwhile, netizens were quick to react to the video, with most of them angered by the woman’s behavior. Some also noted that the train doors are very dusty and “thanked” the woman for her help cleaning the doors.
