Authorities have locked down five housing blocks in Sha Tin, Tsing Yi, Tung Chung, Tin Shui Wai and Kowloon City on Tuesday for compulsory tests after sewage samples from the buildings tested positive for Covid-19.
Residents at Pok Man House, Pok Hong Estate in Sha Tin must undergo testing before 10pm Tuesday. Authorities aim to finish the testing exercise by 2 pm Wednesday.
Those living at Chun Hin House, Ching Chun Court in Tsing Yi must undergo testing before 9pm Tuesday and submit specimens at collection stations. Authorities aim to finish the exercise at 11 am Wednesday.
Residents at Heng Kin House, Tin Heng Estate in Tin Shui Wai must get tested by 11pm Tuesday, as authorities target to unseal the block at 1 pm Wednesday.
Kit Yat House, Yat Tung (II) Estate in Tung Chung has also been locked down. Those subject to the testing mandate must undergo testing at designated specimen collection stations before 11 pm Tuesday. Authorities aim to finish the exercise at around 2 pm Wednesday.
Residents of Tak Sui House, Tak Long Estate in Kowloon City should undergo testing before 10 pm Tuesday. The operation will end at 1 pm Wednesday.
Those who had been present at any of the housing blocks mentioned above for more than two hours from February 16 to March 1 must undergo compulsory testing on or before March 3.
Residents are reminded to adhere to the mandatory testing regulations. Those who refuse to comply can face a fine of up to HK$10,000. Further offenses would be liable to HK$25,000 and imprisonment for six months.
