Instead of including the estates in mandatory testing notices and requiring residents to get tested at community centers, the government now shifts to distributing rapid test kits to people.
People who live in those blocks as well as cleansing workers and property management staff working in the following areas will receive rapid test kits for them to take test on their own starting from Sunday:
1. Sau Wah House of Sau Mau Ping Estate, Kwun Tong
2. Sau Yee House of Sau Mau Ping Estate, Kwun Tong
3. Block 5, On Ning Garden, Tseung Kwan O
4. Tsui Wan Estate, Chai Wan
5. Cheong Shing Court, Fanling
6. Oi Man Estate, Ho Man Tin
7. Lok Chuen House, Ho Chuen House and Yan Chuen House of Shui Chuen O Estate, Sha Tin
In addition, the Kwun Tong District Office of Home Affairs Department will distribute rapid test kits to all cleansing workers and property management staff working in Upper Ngau Tau Kok Estate, Lok Wah South Estate and Lok Wah North Estate in Kwun Tong starting from February 27.
Upon testing positive with the rapid test kits, residents or staff members may call 2280 4772 for "persons tested positive with rapid antigen tests in areas with positive sewage testing results" for assistance.
People who started to develop symptoms may consult their family doctors for advice, while those with severe symptoms - prolonged fever at 38 degrees Celsius or above, or signs such as shortness of breath, palpitations, chest pain - should call the 999 for ambulances.
