China Human Rights Lawyers Concern Group announced its disbandment on Tuesday, saying they have started process to wind up the group.

The group today announced that they decided to disband the group in September and have started winding up process. Directors of the board will soon resign as well.

Last month police sent a letter to the group requesting it to provide specified information. On that the group said they have submitted their replies to the police.

Police made their request citing the implementation rules for articles 43 of national security law. The same request was sent to Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, which organizes the annual June 4 vigil, and New School for Democracy.

The Alliance refused to provide relevant information and saw seven of its standing committee members arrested, in which five were charged.
