A driver was caught on camera using a cycle track on Chi Shin Street, near Yee Ming Estate, as his own individual driving lane.
The video posted on Facebook shows the car driving slowly down the middle of a two-way cycle track, failing to acknowledge any of the signs stating that it is strictly for bikes.
When reaching a pedestrian crossing, the driver made a turn towards the pedestrians on the sidewalk, looking to avoid the plastic poles on the track.
The video, posted to social media, has outraged residents as well as police.
“How on earth did the driver end up driving on the track?”
“There is no such thing as no road for the driver.”
Police said they have noticed the incident and will look into it.
Some netizens also recognized the vehicle and said the driver is a “recidivist”, having parked on sidewalks before.
