Police seized HK$33 million worth of cocaine in an industrial building unit in Chai Wan and arrested three foreigners.
Suspects aged between 25 and 45 years, include an Israeli, a Briton, and a Canadian. The British man and the Canadian are Hong Kong ID card holders.
They are charged with manufacturing of dangerous drugs and will appear in West Kowloon magistrates courts tomorrow.
“They were suspected of storing drugs in transformers and bringing them through airmail from Southeast Asian countries,” Alan Chung, superintendent of the Crime Kowloon West Headquarters said.
The police found out that the Israeli is the tenant who rented the unit for almost half a year, according to Chung. "We believe the flat functions as a drug manufacturing center.''
