HK, China shares tumble

Stocks closed lower today in Hong Kong, following a trading session cut short by a typhoon. 
The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell by 0.74 percent, or 188.47 points, to 25,178.91.
In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index dropped by 1.24 percent, or 42.96 points, at 3,408.13, while the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index tumbled by 1.95 percent, or 44.77 points, to 2,253.68.
