MTR issues US$1.2b green bond at 1.625 pc coupon rate

MTR Corporation (0066) issued a US$1.2 billion (HK$9.36 billion) 10-year Green Bond at a coupon rate of 1.625 percent per annum payable semi-annually.
The maturity date is August 19 in 2030. The issuance was oversubscribed with an order book of over US$3.75 billion.
The bond was priced at 98.695 percent face amount with an overall yield of 1.768 percent, 108 basis points over the benchmark 10-year US Treasury yield, MTR said.
