MMA-like brawl broke out at Lan Kwai Fong

A dozen people including five women had a fierce fight at Lan Kwai Fong in Central, according to a video which went viral online. 

The clip of about two minutes and 50 seconds was filmed at Lan Kwai Fong near D'Aguilar Street. (Click to see video here) 

It showed around five women in short skirts fighting each other while swearing. They threw punches and kicks, and even pulled the hairs of each other. 

At least 2 men try to intervene in the chaos but in vain. Later, another 2 men pull their fists out, stirring up a new fight.

At least 100 onlookers gathered at the scene. An English speaking bystander chose to entertain himself by describing the scene like a sports commentator.

“Oh mate, you know what, I can’t....On my left, on my right, look,” he says in English while referring to the women’s catfighting.

“She’s fit though, she is fxxking pretty fit, you know? Baby girl, baby girl, come here baby girl, oh my god, that’s my number 1 right there.”

Staff of nearby bars shone flashlights at the crowd, trying to stop the brawl. In the end, the fight stopped when those involved were pulled away by their friends. 

A netizen said that the fight happened last Saturday when a bridesmaid met her ex. A person threw a drink onto another, sparking the fight.  

Police said that they did not receive any report regarding the case.
